getting in the groove

i am making a new commitment to blog more often: not that it matters, no one reads mine anyway!

regardless, not much has gone on here. i am having a birthday party for my dog on wednesday, so look for some cute pix of him. he's a jack russell terrier (name: JACK!) i got from freecycle. i know, they don't allow animal ads on there, but i caught the ad before it was pulled. it must be fate because it turned out i needed him as much as he needed me.

he is my reason for getting exercise. i have osteoarthritis and it is hard for me to get around. but i have to walk him, otherwise my house would be a big pile of poo!

i still haven't gotten over the sinus crud, but i am going to the doctor on tuesday. i have a form i need to get filled out and i can get my prescriptions renewed while i am there. i hope to get more pain pills too. i have one left that i keep in a special tin. so far, i have had it in there for 4 months. but i have been in a lot of pain. hopefully, i can get enough so i can take a small amount each day to mask the pain and still function normally.

i would give anything to be able to ride my bike again. i miss flying on my 1962 schwinn hollywood. i tried it last year and regretted it for a week! but i still keep schlepping it from house to house.

maybe one day i will ride again, when i get robot knees or something.

i went with my son root and his girlfriend chick to her kids' birthday party saturday. they went to one of those bounce house thing, and itchy (6 YO girl) and scratchy (5 YO boy) had a blast. root said they slept for 13 hours last night.
